ARCHITECTURE, URBAN PLANNING AND HERITAGE IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH

MDFD4 – FINAL WORKSHOP
Today we are sharing some pictures from this year’s on the ground workshop of the specializing Master Design for Development. Architecture, UrbanPlanning and Heritage in the GlobalSouth of Politecnico di Milano.
Our class flew all the way to El Salvador for two weeks and worked on projects for the revitalization of the historic center of San Salvador together with other nineteen Salvadoran students.
The workshop included some work in class and site visits and was a part of the activities of the “Strategic Plan for the Recovery and the Revitalization of the historic center of San Miguel and San Salvador” (promoted by AICS – Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and coordinated by Dipartimento di Architettura e Studi Urbani – Politecnico di Milano).
 
Part of the workshop was hosted by Universidad de El Salvador and ended with a public presentation of the projects at BINAES – Biblioteca Nacional de El Salvador.
